The Physics and Astronomy Faculty Teaching InstituteEarly-career astronomy and astrophysics faculty of all ranks are invited to register for the Physics and Astronomy Faculty Teaching Institute (FTI) scheduled for 2–5 November at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel in Denver, Colorado. Tenure-track faculty, full-time lecturers (or equivalent), adjunct faculty and part-time faculty, and postdocs are all encouraged to attend! Participants will engage in creative interactions with experts in teaching physics and enjoy networking opportunities with their peers.

The cost of registration is $500, and space is limited! Make sure to register by the deadline, Tuesday, 3 October, for primary consideration. Grants for caregivers and travel (including mileage!) are available, particularly for adjunct faculty from smaller institutions. Email Bob Hilborn, Associate Executive Officer of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) ([email protected]), for scholarship information.

We hope to see you there!

The FTI is sponsored by the American Association of Physics Teachers, the American Physical Society, and the American Astronomical Society. It is funded by the National Science Foundation and Research Corporation for Science Advancement.
