Results are in from the 225th AAS meeting in Seattle: 22 graduate students and undergraduates are receiving Chambliss medals or award certificates to honor their winning poster presentations.

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory seeks proposals for use of the Very Large Array, Very Long Baseline Array, and Green Bank Telescope. Deadline: 2 February 2015.

NASA and the Space Telescope Science Institute seek proposals for Hubble observations and funding for archival and theoretical research programs. Deadline: 10 April 2015.

The Gemini Observatory invites proposals for new large and long programs, with observations beginning in August 2015. LOI deadline: 2 February. Proposal deadline: 31 March.

The SPSIG's inaugural meeting will be held in conjunction with the 225th AAS meeting in Seattle on Tuesday afternoon, 6 January, and is open to all attendees interested in issues related to software publication.

The upcoming 225th AAS meeting, 4-8 January 2015, offers workshops, sessions, posters, tutorials, and discussions that focus on many aspects of astronomical software — and Hack Day, too!
